Our Vision
Our vision at Chester Road is to deliver a modern and sustainable neighbourhood that blends seamlessly into Frodsham. delivering homes and creating valuable amenity space for both new and existing residents while also providing ecological benefits and improving connectivity to the surrounding area.

Our Proposals
- Up to 90 homes designed to cater to a variety of needs, with 45% affordable housing provision.
- Landscaped public open spaces, play areas, and enhanced biodiversity features.
- Homes built to the Future Homes Standard, incorporating energy-efficient features such as EV charging points and modern building fabrics.
- Safe pedestrian and cycling routes linking homes to local amenities and public transport.
Building Sustainably
Sustainable housing is at the heart of Barratt’s approach, we do more than simply build homes, we design and build places that meet high standards, and that promote sustainable, healthy and happy living for our customers. Our homes will be energy-efficient and designed to the Future Homes Standard, incorporating modern building techniques and technologies such as EV charging points. Integrated green spaces will be carefully designed to support local wildlife, with landscaped areas to enhance the natural environment and biodiversity. Some existing hedgerows will be removed to facilitate access to the site and replaced on a like-for-like basis.
Smarter design as standard
Careful consideration and attention to detail goes into every home we build, with a smart design from the outset. From clever storage solutions to multi-purpose spaces, we consider the design of each room, to make day-to-day living easier for residents and make the most of the space. Chester Road has been designed to integrate seamlessly into its surroundings, with a commitment to enhancing the local area, and make walking and cycling easy – helping families live a healthier life and keep active.
A well-connected community
Connectivity is a priority of the site. The site will be accessed from a single vehicular access point off Chester Road, designed to allow traffic to pass by vehicles waiting to turn right into the site. Our site on Chester Road will include pedestrian friendly pathway and cycle routes, linking homes to nearby services and facilities, with the opportunity to provide cycle infrastructure for the missing link in the Frodsham to Helsby cycle route.
Supporting our local communities
We believe in giving back to the community to leave a powerful legacy and build positive spirit. Over the past year, we have donated nearly £5m to charitable causes in the communities that we operate in – last year, we donated £3,000 to the North West Air Ambulance Charity.
