The Site
The site is located to the south-east of Frodsham and comprises a triangular shaped field. Bordered by a railway line to the north and the west, the A56 / Chester Road to the east and existing residential properties at Fern Meadows to the south.
The site is well connected to local services, including shops, healthcare facilities, and employment opportunities. It has excellent transport links to Runcorn, Chester, and beyond, with safe pedestrian and cycle routes. The site is close to bus stops on Chester Road and Frodsham Train Station, which offers direct services to Chester, Liverpool, and Manchester. With the site located a 10-minute walk from the town centre, it provides easy access to key services and supports sustainable modes of transport, including walking, cycling, and public transport.
A SUSTAINABLE EXTENSION TO FRODSHAM
The site is within the Cheshire West and Chester Green Belt. Councils in England are expected to allocate land to meet housing needs. While the land at Chester Road is currently designated as Green Belt, we believe that it should now be considered ‘Grey Belt’. This new planning designation allows for the development of such land to help meet urgent local housing needs, provided that a higher proportion of affordable homes is delivered.
